Agnes Vlasak, 93, of Pawnee City, formerly of Wilber, died January 7, 2017. She was born on April 18, 1923 in Hallam, NE to Joseph and Pauline Gertrude (Vana) Svancara. She graduated from Crete High School in 1941. Agnes married Stanley J. Vlasak on August 22, 1942. She and Stanley made their home on a farm east of Wilber. The couple had three children: Norm, Jim, and LuAnn. Agnes enjoyed sewing, leather carving and playing bridge. She served as vice president of her Altar Society, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a 4-H leader. Rosary will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM; all at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wilber, NE with Fr. Craig Doty as the Celebrant. Visitation will be on Saturday morning, 1 hour prior to mass at the church. Interment will take place at the Wilber Czech Cemetery. A reception will be held at the church following the services.
