Obituary

Albie Unger, daughter of Fred and Mary (Svancara) Kubicek, was born on November 22, 1918 in Crete, Nebraska. She passed away peacefully on March 25, 2016 at Tabitha in Crete. Albie had three brothers: Freddie, Adolph, and Stanley, and one sister: Darlene Tenopir.
Albie married Lumir Unger, (son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Unger), on December 29, 1936. The couple resided on a farm west of Crete. Lumir passed away in 1976, and Albie moved into Crete and worked as a cook at Dorsey's Café and Sportsman Bar & Grill.
Albie had one son, Ronnie, who died March 25, 1987, and two daughters: Betty Godwin and Shirley Shepherd.
She enjoyed embroidering, sewing, and baking, especially Kolaces and cinnamon rolls.
Albie is survived by her daughters: Betty Godwin and Shirley Shepherd. Grandchildren: Ronnie Unger, Jr., Tracey Unger, Joshua Unger, Michael Unger, Ron Shepherd, Bill Shepherd, John Shepherd, and Christina Godwin. Eight great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday (3-30-2016) at 1:00 PM, Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Memorials are in care of the family.
