Allen L. Brandt, age 79 of Martell, NE, died Saturday March 30th, 2024 at the Tabitha Journey House. He was the oldest of six boys, born July 8th, 1944 to Lester and Dorothy Brandt.

On November 15, 1965, Allen married Bonnie (Prokop) in Lincoln, NE. Together, they bought an acreage near Princeton in 1976 and continued to live there until Allen's passing. Growing up, Allen enjoyed helping his dad in the cabinet shop. When he graduated high school, Allen went to work for John VerMaas Construction. This is where his love of home building grew. Allen eventually opened his own business, Brandt Homes, which was very successful for many years. For their 50th wedding anniversary, Allen was fortunate to build Bonnie and him their dream home. Allen had many hobbies, to include, a love for gardening, fishing, hunting, sprint car racing, Husker sports and bird watching.

Allen is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie of Martell, NE, children: Mark (Michelle) Brandt of Lincoln, NE, Michelle (Greg) Olesen of Lincoln, NE, four grandchildren: Destiny (Chance) Fossberg, Brooke (Cory) Grant, Devon Brandt, Dillon Brandt and four great grandchildren: Macie, Zayden, Kynlee and Kallie. He is also survived by his three brothers: Charles (Lois) Brandt of Elkhorn, NE, Emery Brandt of Crete, NE and Daniel Brandt of Lincoln, NE.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Bernard and Frederic, and one grandson: Bryce.

Pallbearers are Cory Grant, Zayden Spiering, Chance Fossberg, Garrett Spiering, Devon Brandt and Dillon Brandt.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jim (Iggy) Farland and Tim Spiering.

Memorials have been designated in care of the family for future designation.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.  Casual attire is requested. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 - 7 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
