Wiebelhaus
April 10, 1924 – August 17, 2024
Angela Cecilia (Kremer) Wiebelhaus of Lincoln, Nebraska was born on April 10, 1924, and died on August 17, 2024.
Angela, or Angie, as she was called by most family and friends, was born on April 10, 1924, to Willam and Mayme (Plantenberg) Kremer at home on her father's farm near Constance, Nebraska. She went to school in Constance and Crofton and attended Mt Marty university in Yankton South Dakota. She taught school for one year after attending University and then worked for Western Union during WWII in Detroit, New York, and Los Angeles.
After the war Angie married Cleo Edward Wiebelhaus on February 11, 1947. Together they moved to Crete, Nebraska and purchased the Crete Pool Hall. Along with raising 6 children, Angie sewed many bridal and bridesmaids' gowns, cheerleading uniforms and other sewing commissions. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 65 years. She worked at Pamida for 10 years, enjoying clerking, cutting fabric and helping customers with their sewing questions. Angie lived in Crete after Cleo died in 1997 until moving to Lincoln at age 88. She lived in her own home until the age of 98 when she moved to an assisted living memory unit.
Angie had many dear friends over the years in both Crete and Lincoln. She was always willing to help a neighbor and loved having 'extras' come to family holidays. Many times, children or grandchildren brought roommates or friends who had nowhere to go for Thanksgiving or Christmas and they were always welcome.
Angie is survived by five of her children: Vicky Muff, Martell; Joan Ross, Lincoln; Kim (Jerry) McFarland, Brian Wiebelhaus, Pleasant Dale; Tracy Morales, Rockport, Texas. Seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great, great Grandchildren; one sister, Geri Gobel; one brother, Bill Kremer; and two brothers in law Gene (Marilyn), Crofton and Dick, Fordyce, and two sisters in law, Martha Wiebelhaus, Redding CA; Lynne Kremer, Omaha; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, Cleo; son, Greg; grandchild Corie Ross, sons in law Ken Muff, and Dan Ross, siblings and spouses, Esther (Bob) McIntosh, Ethel (Vern) Barbagelata, Dan Kremer, and in-laws on both sides of the family.
