Obituary

Arnold William Pracheil, 95, of Wilber, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Wilber Care Center. He was born on the family farm in Saline County, on January 7, 1923, to William and Anna (Vocasek) Pracheil.
Arnold attended District #3 Country School and Crete High School through the 10th grade. During this time he worked with his father on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Frances L. Barak on October 16, 1951 in Crete, Nebraska and made their home on the family farm. In addition to farming, he worked at ALPO Pet Foods for 22 ½ years. During their marriage, Arnold and Frances enjoyed going to Czech Festivals and Polka dances.
After the death of his wife Frances on October 26, 1993, he enjoyed going to auctions, traveling, collecting antique tools, and stopping to watch the trains pass by the family farm.
Arnold is survived by his sons, Donald (Cathy) of Seward, Robert (Barbara) of Dorchester, Michael (Jan) of Grand Island, and Larry of Wilber, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Pracheil, wife, Frances and sister, Norma Tisher.
Graveside services are Thursday, 10:00 AM, October 25, 2018 at Big Blue Cemetery, rural Wilber, Nebraska (6 miles south of Crete, 1/2 mile west, & 1/8 mile south). Visitation will be on Wednesday, 5 PM to 8 PM at Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete, Nebraska. Memorials are in care of the family. Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete is in charge of arrangements.
