Barbara (Barb) L. Coulter of Crete, NE passed away on Saturday May 5, 2018 at Madonna Long Term Care Hospital in Lincoln, NE after fighting a long and hard, courageous battle with cancer. Barb was born on June 12, 1964 in Los Angeles, CA. Barb was adopted into the Coulter family when she was 8 years old. Barb grew up in Crete, NE and attended Crete Public Schools, graduating from Crete High School. Barb went on to graduate Southeast Community College with her degree as a Medical Office Professional. Barb was well known throughout the community of Crete, working for many years at both Dairy Queen and Taco Johns, eventually ending her career at Walmart. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Seward, NE. Barb truly enjoyed reading, so much so that she could fill an entire library with all of the books she had. Barb loved watching movies, loved spending time with her family and adored her children. She loved dogs and horses. Barb always liked sharing stories, had so much laughter, great friendships and fun with family. Barb would always have presents for her children and great nieces/nephews no matter what the occasion would be. Barb was continuously thinking of others, had great faith and would always make sure everyone was well taken care of. Barb was a beautiful person inside and out. Nieces: Sarah (Nathan) Godinez of Lincoln, NE, Rebecca (Dan) Underwood of Crete, NE, Laura Kersten of Hallam, NE. Great Nephews: Andrew Kersten, Bryson Haecker, Dan Evan Underwood, Wesley Kersten. Great Nieces: Hailey Kersten, Lilian Underwood, Charlee Haecker and Evelyn Underwood. Preceeded in death by: Father; Thomas Coulter, Sister: Cathy (Coulter) Policky and Nephew; Timothy Kersten. Services will be held Friday, May 11th at 11:00 A.M at the United Church of Christ in Crete. Family suggests casual dress attire. Lunch directly to follow Service. Family will hold a private burial at Centerville Cemetery. Memorials in care of the family. Kuncl Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
