Bernard Milo Kobes, 88, of Crete, passed away on April 4, 2021.  He was born on December 2, 1932 in Friend, NE to Leonard and Mattie (Kastanek) Kobes.  He attended District #57 and served in the Army from February 26, 1953 to December 16, 1954.  On May 12, 1956, Bernard married Delores M. Valenta in Fairbury, NE.  He worked on the family farm until 1975 and then worked for Alpo Pet Foods in Crete for 22 years.  He enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales, working with iron, walking his dog and being outdoors.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, 1 brother and son, Darrel Kobes.  Bernard is survived by his wife Delores,  children:  Diane Kobes, Susan Rader, Donna Kobes and husband George, Bernice Kubicek, Bernie Kobes, Lori Kobes, and Deanna Kobes and 7 grandchildren.  No services will be held.  Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete is in charge of the arrangements.
