Obituary

Bobbi Lee East (Odvody), born November 12, 1985, unexpectedly passed away October 15, 2024.

Bobbi was a devoted wife to Brian East, and fiercely loving mother to Jade, Toby, and Eli East.  Above all else, Bobbi loved her family immensely. She enjoyed spending time with them on adventures in the great outdoors hiking, kayaking and fishing.  But not before she had her coffee.  Made her way.

At the age of eighteen, Bobbi enlisted in the US Coast Guard, she was a proud Coastie and served 20 years, 2 months, and 25 days.  She valued her service highly.  She enlisted into the service as a SN and climbed the ranks to Chief. Ultimately, she was promoted to the prestigious rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2.  During her service, she coordinated search and rescue, along with picking up extra duties such as victim assistance, security liaison, and a tour on US Coast Guard Cutter Alert.  Bobbi was part of the first crew of enlisted females on a Coast Guard 210 Cutter. Her time in the service included tours of Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, Alabama, and Alaska. She received many accolades and medals during her extensive time in service, including 2 CG Commendation Medals, 3 CG Achievement Medals, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and 6 CG Good Conduct Medals.

Bobbi loved all things homemade and enjoyed knitting, making her own food (like kombucha), experimenting with essential oils, and constantly trying new recipes and flavors.  She enjoyed sledding with Eli in Alaska, taking walks with Toby, and reading on the hammock with Jade.

Bobbi is preceded in death by her brother, Jason Odvody and grandmother, Reba Davis. Bobbi is survived by her husband Brian, children Jade, Toby, Eli, her father Roy Odvody (Agnes) and mother Brenda Odvody, sister Ashley Considine (William), nieces Zoey and Margaret, brother John, grandparents Emil and Doris Odvody and Wadus Davis. Larry and Sue, Brad (Kasi), Suzanne Estill, and Luke and Nora East.  And her cousin, Samantha Stiltner, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
