Obituary

Bradley Bowker went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 8, 2021. Brad was born in Alexandria, NE on April 30, 1945, to Frank and Myrtle Bowker. He and his wife Colleen were married in 1985 at Indian Hills Community Church. His first wife, Geraldine, passed away in 1982. He is survived by his children, Connie, Chris, and Chad; stepchildren, Michelle and Dann; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty and Marilyn; and brother, Larson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Brad graduated from UNL with undergraduate and graduate degrees and received a Master's degree from Denver Seminary, in Biblical Counseling. Brad had many accomplishments in his life, beginning in high school with track and athletic awards. He was an elementary teacher and then served as a school administrator in several school districts in Nebraska and Colorado. He was also the director of a Christian Counseling Center in Colorado, served as a solo pastor of two Christian churches in Colorado, and was a marriage and family minister in Oregon. With a gift from friends in Oregon, Brad and his wife, Colleen, were able to establish a nonprofit ministry for blended families, providing counseling, retreats, seminars, workshops, and teaching Sunday School classes. Brad touched many lives professionally and personally and was known as a man of biblical integrity, who was willing to go the extra mile for not only his family and friends, but also general acquaintances. He is also well known for the love he showed to his pets; Pepper, Butterscotch, and Balee. Due to COVID-19, there will be no services at this time.
