Bruce joined the Army National Guard at a young age where he served approximately ten years while working at VanSickle Glass in Lincoln, Nebraska. After farming for several years, Bruce began employment at Farmland Foods, Inc. where he retired after 22 years. Bruce volunteered for the Swanton Fire Department and was a member of the Swanton American Legion. He loved to trap shoot, bowl, hunt, play cards, help Janice with wood crafts, and travel with his family whom he loved the most. Bruce was a diehard Nebraska football fan and with this love he inspired all his children and grandchildren to follow suit. He enjoyed socializing with everyone and was a friend to many near and far. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his sister, Carol Wilson. Bruce is survived by the love of his life, Janice Churchill, his children, grandchildren, and two sisters, Sharon (Burdette) Jones and Lynn (Carl) Buchanan, brother in-law, Charlie Wilson, and nieces and nephews.
