Carol J. Hagen, (Vilda) passed away suddenly, Thursday March 2, 2023 age 81. Carol was born on April 15, 1941 in Wilber, NE to Otto and Albina Vilda. Carol attended Wilber Public School and held a variety of jobs over the years then retired from Wilber-Clatonia Schools where she was a custodian. Carol moved to the Czech Village after the death of her husband, where she continued to make new friends and enjoyed wordfind, crosswords, coloring and puzzles. Carol married Richard Hagen, Sr. on September 24, 1958 at the Methodist Church in DeWitt. They made their home in Wilber, and had five children. Sons, Richard Jr., David and Darin. Daughters, Debra Bergmeier and Darcy Bartels. Carol was preceded in death by her father and mother Otto and Albina Vilda; brothers Delton and Larry; sisters Mary Ann Heidecker, Norma Henning and Verna Olson. Foster Child Barbara Ann Liston. Carol leaves behind sons Richard Jr. (Gidget), Darin (Tator) (Kory Mullen) and daughter Darcy Bartels all of Wilber, son David of St. Petersburg, Florida and daughter Debra and Bruce Bergmeier of Adams. Granddaughters Brandie and Matthew Nissen, Kendra Korbelik, Sheena, Dara and Harley Hagen. Great Grand Children, Taylor, Maddie, Lola, Kru, Koy and Timmy.
