C. Carol Jones passed away on April 23, 2026, in Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 93. Formerly of Normal, IL, and Sun City West, AZ, she was born on April 18, 1933, near Crete, NE, to Henry and Catherine Siedhoff.

In 1964, Carol married Jerry Jones, and they shared 46 wonderful years together until Jerry's passing in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lois Heyen, and her brother Francis Siedhoff. Carol is survived by her children: Annette (Dan) Frerichs of Bayard, NE; Brian (Elly) Jones of Tempe, AZ; and Barbara McCaffrey of Bloomington, IL. She is also lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters (Marlene Bals and Jayne Sainz), her brother (John Siedhoff), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol and Jerry began their married life in Nebraska before moving to Normal, IL in 1971 with Jerry's career at State Farm. They raised their family there for 25 years before retiring to Arizona. A licensed beautician in Nebraska, Carol had a passion for creating beauty in all forms. As her children grew, she worked at Casey's Garden Shop in Bloomington, IL, where she enjoyed helping customers with flower arranging, planting, and decorating ideas.

A woman of deep faith and service, Carol volunteered extensively throughout her life. She managed the Epiphany Catholic Church Religious Goods store in Normal for over 20 years and was active with the Altar & Rosary Society and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. In Arizona, she gave her time to Valley View Food Bank and Sun City West Prides. She also loved sewing and crafting intricate beaded jewelry, Sharing her talents whenever possible.

Carol was a devoted member of both Epiphany Catholic Church in Normal and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sun City West. She and Jerry cherished traveling together to visit family and explore the world.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Crete, NE, followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to any organization dedicated to making the world a better place.
