Charles Robert Brown, 72, husband of Phyllis Brown, DeWitt, NE passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 in Beatrice, NE.   He was born December 15, 1949 in Bloomfield, NE to Robert and Lucille Brown.

Charlie attended Crete schools, graduating in 1968.  After high school, he attended Southeast Community College in Milford for Heating and Air-conditioning and worked at the family-owned business, Propane Service, for many years. He moved to Texas in the early1990s returning to NE in 2018.

He was preceded in death by parents and sister, Gail August.  Survivors include wife, Phyllis Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Dan Timmerman; son and daughter-in-law, Trent and Jessica Brown; brother Lyle (Diane) Brown; Kenneth (Sarah) Brown; and brother-in-law Gary August; grandchildren: Cody, Logan, Shelby and Sierra Timmerman, Saige and T.J. Brown; and stepsons Scott (Sara) Wood and Mike (Debra) Wood. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces, other relatives and friends.

Extended family only graveside services will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, DeWitt, NE.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
