Obituary

Clarence Louis Musil, son of Louis and Rose (Korensky) Musil, was born on February 22, 1931, near Swanton, NE and passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 94.  He attended Western High School graduating in 1949, then attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln for one year. Clarence was in the Naval Reserves for 10 years.

He was employed for Nickel Chevrolet, later Rychecky Chevrolet in Western and worked at the Beatrice 77 Livestock Sales for 20 years.  He was also a Moews Seed Dealer for 40 years.  Being a farmer all his life, there was still time to be a volunteer fireman which he did for 38 years. Clarence was a member of Western Grange #408, St. John's United Church of Christ and helped organize the Swan Creek 4-H Club.

On July 29, 1954, Clarence was united in marriage to Darlene A. Hojer in St. John's United Church of Christ. They were three weeks shy of celebrating 71 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene, son, Kent (Sandy) Musil of Western, daughter, Kerri (Greg) Conn of Wausa, NE, Grandchildren; Andrew (Sadie) Conn, Calvin and Cooper of Bennet, NE, Katie (John) Johnson, Amelia and Phoenix of Seward, Austin Conn of Philadelphia, PA, Ryan (Daisy West) and Maya of Daykin, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Eugene.

Services will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ in Western on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:30 AM with burial following at the Wilber Czech Cemetery. No visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.
