Dan L. Brandt, 75, of Lincoln, NE, passed away Saturday July 5, 2025, at Bryan Medical Center. Dan was the 3rd of 6 boys born to Lester and Dorothy Brandt on November 25, 1949.

Dan grew up on a farm outside of Martell. He graduated from Crete High School in 1968. He was drafted into the army in 1970. After the military, Dan worked for ADM for 43 years and retired in 2011.

Dan was a member of the Hallam Legion, Beer Can Collectors of America Cornhusker Chapter, and National Horseshoe Pitching Association. He was an avid bowler and horseshoe pitcher and loved watching the Huskers and baseball, especially the Royals.

Dan was always excited to see his kids and grandkids. He always took time to get to know people and never knew a stranger. Dan will be remembered for his outgoing personality and love for his family, friends, and animals.

He is survived by daughter, Nicole Brandt and son, Darin Brandt (Kellie Carlin). Grandchildren: Jordan, Jasmine, Mason, Paige, Tyler, Nathan, Caiden, Chandler, Justice and great grandchild Alora.

Brothers: Emery Brandt (Deanna) and Charles Brandt (Lois), Sister-in-Law Bonnie Brandt, and nieces and nephews…and his cat Boots.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Lester, and brothers: Allen, Bernard and Frederic.

Services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete
