Darleen Patton Herman was born November 18th, 1943 to Herbert and Zola (Zimmerman) Patton in Hebron, Nebraska. She was a graduate of Crete High School in 1962. Darleen loved to go out dancing, playing cards and watching old movies, especially Gone with the Wind. Possessing an infectious laugh and a love of telling stories she made friends everywhere she went. The type of person who would help anyone in need, her generosity and giving nature shone brightly. A special lady who lived and loved by example, her smile will be missed by her family and many life-long friends. She is survived by her children; Rick (Bonnie) Olson, Kristine (Mike) Hyde, Milo (Kim) Olson, Michelle (Jeff) Stander & Melissa (Duane) Schueth. Grandchildren Jakob, Ashlee (Drew), Alexzander, Sara (Alex), Jami (Joe), Lacey (Levi), Michael, Milo, Colby, Brayden, Jace, Cody (Kaytlin), Ithy (Derek), Baylee (Luke), Natalie, Kinsley, Kolby, Kaydy and Bryce. Great-grandchildren Clayton, Collin, Jayla, Sawyer, Emmersyn, Joseph, Jasper & Aletta. Siblings Roger (Liz), Donald & Herb (Debbie) Patton, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorene Moore, brother Dick, spouses Ron Meyer & Bill Herman, and father to their children Milo Olson. Services will be held at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilber, Sunday January 29th at 2pm. Any flowers for the service should be delivered to the church by 4pm Saturday. Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home.
