David James Bishop, known by many as Bish, died July 18th, 2016 at his home in Coleridge, NE. Bish was born February 21st, 1961 in Crete to the parents of Jerry and Marge (Kahle) Bishop. Bish was a very proud citizen of the Crete community. He was a long time member of the Crete Volunteer Fire Department, Crete High School football coaching staff, and long time employee at the Crete News. Bish graduated from Crete High School and was a long time member of the Methodist church in Crete.
Bish enjoyed getting involved in many activities around Crete, watching construction crews around town, and making new friends to share an ice cold Mountain Dews with.
Bish is survived by his brother Kevin of Coleridge, NE, aunts Wilma Kahle and Ruth June of Crete, nephew Matt Bishop of Omaha, niece Laura Neuhalfen and husband Dustin of Hartington, great nephew Jeffrey Bishop of Omaha, and great nieces Kendal Bishop of Omaha, and Quinn Neuhalfen of Hartington, NE.
Bish is proceeded in death by his parents Marge and Jerry Bishop of Crete.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Crete High School Auditorium. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 - 7 P.M. at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Crete. In lieu of flowers, memorials to be given to the Crete Volunteer Fire Department in David's memory.
