David Lee Duntz, of Crete, NE passed away peacefully on Thursday June 15, 2017. He was born on May 12, 1954 in Beatrice, NE. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend to many, and a source of joy and laughter for all that knew him. David was self-employed as a finish carpenter, custom cabinet maker, and home builder for many years, and worked for Sampson Construction for the last 9 years. A recent example of his craft and skill is on display in the custom wood work at the Brew House in Crete.
He will be missed by his wife, Chris Duntz; children, Kristina Johnson, Kevin (Candace) Duntz, Matthew Duntz, Adam Duntz, and Jacy Duntz; grandsons, Arlo, Hayes, and Wyatt; siblings, Paul (Janelle) Duntz, Sheri (Jerry) LaFollette, and Rick (Valerie) Duntz, Mike Duntz, and Mark Duntz; step-father, Kip Koepke; in-laws, Robert and Joann Renner; brothers and sisters in-law, Kay (Bob) Jordan, Karen (Richard) Rambo, Bob Renner, Gary (Karla) Renner, Mike Renner, and Lisa Stefan; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents Carl Duntz and Charlene Koepke; step-mothers, Dee Koepke and Faye Duntz; and brother in-law Matt Stefan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Sorensen, Marty Frye, Troy Steinhoff, Paul Valenta and Chad McDaniel.
Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, June 19 at the 4-H Building at Tuxedo Park, Crete, Nebraska with Pastor Dan Williams and Pastor Gregg Madsen officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday with family greeting friends, 5 PM to 8 PM, Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete, Nebraska. Memorial in lieu of flowers to the family for future designation.
