David Lee Rezabek passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on October 12 ^th , 2022. David was born to Lumir and Viola (Broz) Rezabek, on their first wedding anniversary, December 18 ^th , 1946, in Friend, NE. David attended country school in rural Dorchester and later graduated with the class of 1965 from Dorchester High School. In 1965, he enlisted in the Air Force Guard and honorably discharged in 1971. He remained a member of the Dorchester American Legion Post #264 for 47 years. In 1967, David married Linda Ann Parminter and to this union three children were born: Michael, Kimberly, and Rick. David and Linda spent their years raising their family on the Rezabek farm west of Wilber and shared many special memories of traveling to Utah, Montana, Alaska, Florida, and several other areas.

David was an authentic man who believed in honesty and loving his family wholeheartedly. He served as the patriarch for the Rezabek family. No matter the hour, he would hop in his Ranger and be there for you with no questions asked. David would greet you wearing a cowboy hat with a sincere handshake and, "How are you?"

He was a stranger to no one meeting many people throughout his auctioneering career. His auctioneering style was remarkable and came as a natural talent. Gramps was an endless chest of talents including playing the clarinet and once playing accordian on the Wayne West Show.

David took pride in his grandchildren and great grandchildren earning him the title "Gramps" and "Grandpa Great". You could find him with Linda at their grandchildren's events cheering them on. Many of his grandchildren are blessed with memories of spending time with him on the family farm. His hugs, surprise M & M's, and presence sitting in his favorite chair at holidays will be deeply missed.

His talent for chasing coyotes has been handed over to his son Mike and grandsons, fondness for horses has been passed down to his son Rick and several grandchildren, and his calm demeanor and loyal heart will remain with his daughter Kimberly. Above all, he has blessed his family with the pride of his last name.

David is survived by his beloved wife Linda, children Michael (Denise) Rezabek, Kimberly (Danny) Patak, Rick (Lisa) Rezabek, grandchildren Justin (Jenna) Rezabek, Coltin Rezabek and special friend Tia Kreshel, Devin Patak and special friend Sara Holling, Emily (Daniel) Cox, Nathan Patak, Tyler Rezabek, Kaycee Rezabek and Gate Champ.  Great grandchildren Reese Rezabek, Knox Rezabek, Judd Cox, and Dunes Cox.

David also leaves behind several friends and family members to treasure his memory.

David is now reunited with his parents, mother & father in law Everett and Betty Parminter, brother in law Bob Parminter, and dear cousin Gene Broz.

In sure David manner, he requested no funeral services and instead wished for a gathering of friends and family to celebrate his life. All who knew David are invited to attend his life celebration at Sokol Hall in Wilber, NE on October 29 ^th , 2022 at 3pm. Please dress casually and wear your cowboy hat if you desire. Memorials entrusted to the family for future designation to the Wilber Fire and Rescue Department.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.
