Delma Rose Svarc, age 87 passed away on May 14, 2019 at Tabitha in Crete, Nebraska. She was born on January 3, 1932 on a farm near Western, Nebraska to Frank and Ella (Rezabek) Rezny. She graduated from Dorchester High School in 1949. After graduation she stayed home to do the farming and continued to do the farming when her father was injured in a farm accident. She was united in marriage on April 7, 1953 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Leonard Eugene Svarc. After her marriage she worked at the Hotel in Crete, Nebraska and when they closed she had the Crete Sale Barn Café for seven years, where she baked 15 pies for that one day. She later sold her business and went to work for a family café and then worked at Star Motel and Villa Madrid Motel for 17 years. She took care of her nephew Ron Rezny who lived with them for 15 years. She loved music and loved to dance. Her grandchildren enjoyed hearing her yodeling and she enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events. She liked to make rosettes and taught her daughter Judy and granddaughter Jenny Meints to make them. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Delma was always available if anyone needed help. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Leonard on November 21, 1974, daughter; Carol Jean (Svarc) Frew on January 7, 1993, brother; Melvin Rezny, sisters; Norma (Henry) Shestak, Leona (Albert) Skala, nephew; Don Rezny, her father and mother in law; Frank and Mary Svarc and brother in law; Rudy Buzek. Survivors include her daughter; Judy Svarc of Crete, son and daughter in law; Dale and LaDonna Svarc of Crete, son in law; Jim and Laura Bahr-Frew of Martell, grandchildren; Nicole and Eric Olson, Matt and Amber Frew, Ryan and Amy Svarc, Jenny and Chris Meints, Jason and MacKenzie Svarc and Hillary and Bryan McCann, 12 great grandchildren, Ella, Carsen, Wyatt and Ryleigh Olson, Logan and Jake Frew, Harper and Brantly Svarc, Kyler and Easton Meints and Izley and Ava Svarc, 6 step grandchildren and their spouses, 12 step great grandchildren, sisters in law; Evelyn Buzek, Dorothy Hessheimer and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services, 2 PM, Friday, May 17, 2019 at Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete, Nebraska. Visitation, Thursday, 5 – 7 PM, Kuncl Funeral Home. Interment at Wilber Czech Cemetery. Family requests casual attire. Memorials to the family for future designation. All are invited to a luncheon at the Crete Eagles Club following the services.
