Obituary

Dennis Joe Burianek, born on June 24, 1955, in Crete, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a proud member of his community. Dennis's life was a testament to hard work, love, and a deep appreciation for his Czech heritage.

Dennis's educational journey began at District 4 Country School, and he later graduated from Wilber Clatonia High School. During his school years, he discovered his passion for wrestling and was an active member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA). These early interests would shape his character and work ethic throughout his life.

Dennis's dedication to work was evident from a young age when he began working at Alpo while still in school. Remarkably, he continued to work at Alpo for over 40 years, showcasing his commitment and work ethic. It was during this time that Dennis crossed paths with the love of his life, Patty Burianek, in the early '90s. Their fondness for each other grew, and they shared many cherished moments at the old speakeasy in Lincoln. Dennis and Patty eloped in Las Vegas on February 11, 1995, surprising everyone with the exciting news through a heartfelt letter. Their love story spanned 29 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures.

Dennis had a deep appreciation for music, enjoying everything from polka to rock and roll. His Czech heritage was a source of immense pride, and he embraced the traditions and music of his roots. When it came to his passions, there was one tractor that held a special place in his heart, and that was the John Deere. He relished working on projects and inventing gadgets, using his ingenuity to improve things around him.

Above all, Dennis cherished his family more than anything else. He was a loving father and a doting grandfather. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support touched the lives of his children and grandchildren in profound ways.

Dennis is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patty Burianek, and his siblings, Don Burianek, The Twins, Dorothy Hagemeier, and Diane Rosenau, as well as his parents, James and Mildred Burianek. He is survived by his loving children, Jason and Robin Burianek, Amanda Ortega, siblings Donna and Duane Hillgren, and Darlene and Lumir Novak, along with numerous adoring grandchildren.
