Donna Marie Kastanek, 53, passed away Tuesday, May 9th at her home surrounded by family and friends as she lost her battle against cancer. She was born to Gunner and Mattie Prochaska on August 30th, 1963. Donna and her husband, Kenny Richard Kastanek, got married on March 7th, 1998, and made their humble home on the outskirts of Crete, Nebraska and loved running their repair shop. To this union they brought Anthony Richard Kastanek, Lucas Glenn Frahm, and Tara Mae Frahm. She enjoyed spending the summer days outside in the garden and sitting by the fire in the evenings, kayaking with her family and spending time with the people she loved, as her heart was full of gold. Donna is preceded in death by her parents: Gunner and Mattie Prochaska, brothers: Jack, Ted, and Bobby. Donna is survived by her husband: Kenny of Crete, children: Lucas of El Paso TX, Tara of Crete, Hana and Anthony of Omaha, sisters: Sue of Swanton NE, Bev of Quinlin TX, Glenda of East Hampton CT, brother: Lyle of Lincoln NE. She also claimed as her own: Katie Vilda of Beatrice, Josh Korbel of Crete, Cody Rapp of Pleasant Dale, Blake Yost of Crete, Michael Harper of Dallas TX, Micheal Vargus of Dublin OH, Lucreita Wilcox of Grand Island, along with many more.
