Doris Viola (Rahe) Ahl from Lincoln formerly of Crete, NE passed away at the age of 82 on February 19, 2018 at The Grand Lodge in Lincoln, NE surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 12, 1935 to Walter and Margaret Rahe in Swanton, NE. She was raised on a farm near Swanton until they moved to Crete where she later graduated from Crete High School.

She married her sweet husband of over 40 years on September 9th, 1977. She worked at Formfit Rogers for over 25 years and then at Doane College until she retired. She and Marvin moved to The Grand Lodge in Lincoln, NE in 2013. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner for all of them. She always had a huge vegetable garden and enjoyed planting flowers, baking, canning, sewing, going for rides in the country and listening to good old country music.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dale Rahe, Donald Rahe, and LaVern Rahe, sisters Betty Schlake, Darlene Schlake, Dorene Filip, and Elaine Shandera and great grandson Mattix Wilson.

Doris is survived by her husband Marvin Ahl of Lincoln, son Gary (Sara) Meyers of Lincoln, daughters Debra (Alfred Paul) Brejcha of Western, Christine (Butch) Nadrchal of Utica, Laura (Robyn) Thille of Crete and Becky (Alan) Bridgmon of Memphis, TN as well as 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to specially thank all of the loving nurses and staff at The Grand Lodge and the amazing care provided by Pathways to Compassion Hospice especially her nurse Jill and aid Yareli.

Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2018 from 5-7 pm and services will be Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in DeWitt with a dinner following at 9th Street Grill in Crete.
