Douglas G. Wahl, age 74, of Western, Nebraska, passed away on February 11, 2024, in Fairbury.  He was born on September 13, 1949, in Beatrice to Edward Homer Wahl Jr. and Hazel (Smith) Wahl.

Doug was united in marriage to Sandy Stokes on October 24, 1992.  They resided in Wilber for 5 years, they moved to Western where they lived for the next 32 years.

Doug is survived by his brother Virgil and wife Carolyn of Western; Brother-in-law Larry Helter and Sister-in-law Debbie Packmore of Lincoln; Nieces Shelly and husband Josh Precht of Lincoln, Sherri Wahl of Omaha and Nephew Dan and wife Jinthala Wahl of Gardener, KS and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Jr. and Hazel Wahl; his wife Sandy in 2019; his parents Edward Jr. and Hazel Wahl; brother, Duane Edward Wahl; sister-in-law Cindi Helter; brothers-in-law Lee Stokes and Richard Marsh, his beloved dogs, Molly and Hurley and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 - 7 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials to Capital Humane Society or the Western Fire & Rescue Department.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.
