Obituary

Ellen M. McFall went to heaven, October 23, 2018. She was the second of four daughters born to Steve and Lillie (Beck) Richtarik, on January 6, 1924 in Wilber, Nebraska. She attended grades K-12th and graduated from Wilber High School in 1942. During this time she was active in Sokol and participated in the National Sokol slet at Soldiers Field in Chicago, Illinois. After graduation she taught in rural school District 66. In 1943 she moved to Dearborn, Michigan to work at Bendix Aviation. It was there she met her future husband, Taft H. McFall. They each moved to Morganton, North Carolina ultimately married December 31, 1945 in South Carolina. In 1962 she moved to Wilber with her two children. She was employed at the Farmers Co-op, then for the Saline County Superintendent and finished her working career at the Saline County Courthouse Register of Deeds office, when she was diagnosed with macular degeneration and could no longer be employed.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church and Business and Professional Womens (BPW) Club. Her hobbies were collecting rocks and magnets, that covered her refrigerator. Her prized ones were of the places she had been to. Ellen loved to travel and loved to dance, work cross puzzles and play Scrabble when most frequently, she was the winner.
Ellen is survived by her son; Glen R. McFall of Morganton, North Carolina, daughter; Linda Gail Corondoni of Tacoma, Washington, grandsons; Chris (Coral) McFall, Nicholas (Jamie) and Chris Corondoni and granddaughter, Carrie Farris, 4 great grandchildren and her sister, Inez "Ric" Herbert of Lincoln, five nieces, one nephew and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Jonathan, sisters; Mabel Weiler and Doris McKenney and their spouses and brother in law Glen Herbert, a nephew and 2 infant brothers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, 10:30 AM at the Wilber Care Center in Wilber, Nebraska. Kuncl Funeral Home, Wilber, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
