Emma J. Vales, age 99, of Wilber was born on February 28, 1917 in Saline County, Nebraska to Vaclav and Mary (Tryner) Svajgr and passed away on July 26, 2016.

Funeral Mass is on Saturday, 11:00 AM on July 30, 2016 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilber, Nebraska. Rosary will be half hour prior to Mass. Interment will be at the Wilber Czech Cemetery. Cremation, no viewing, no visitation. Kuncl Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Emma survivors are her son; John (Barb) Vales, daughters; Mary Ann (John) Birkett, Kathleen (Gene) Maya. Grandsons; Randy (Cheri) Birkett, Russell (Sara) Birkett, Ryan (Stacey) Birkett, Mike (Becky) Vales, Lee (Julie) Vales, granddaughters; Amy (Rob Sterkel) Hiett and Jennifer (Jimmie) Montes, great granddaughters; Jenny (Brandon Niemeyer) Birkett, Emmalyn Birkett, Ashley (Tyler) Troxel, Emilye Vales, Abbey Vales, Toni Hiett, Adrienne LaRoeque, Angela Constable and Allison Montes, great grandsons; Justin (fiancée Sarah Wieskamp) Birkett, Tristan Montes and Shane Hayek, great great grandchildren; Kollin LaRoeque Aaliyah Rose Davis and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Ludvik Vales, brothers; Joe (Marie) Svajgr, Jim (Rose) Svajgr and Ed (Bessie) Svajgr, sisters; Martha (Clarence) Jirka, Sophie (Frances) Rut and great grandson; Rylan Hiett.
