Evelyn Lucille (Prochaska) Matthews, 93, of Hallam, NE passed away on April 16, 2017. She was born in Seward County on January 29, 1924 to Fred J. and Agnes M. (Kraus) Prochaska. Evelyn lived in the Crete area and graduated from Crete High School in 1941. She married Lynn Erwin Matthews on May 8, 1946 in Kansas. Evelyn held numerous jobs over the years before retiring.

Evelyn was a member of the UCC Church in Hallam, Nebraska.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheri (Brian) Olson of Lincoln, NE; son-in-law, Duke Wilson of Princeton, NE; grandson, Marty Wilson (Nichole Tichota and daughter, Erin) of Hickman, NE; granddaughter, Devin Wilson of Hickman, NE; great grandchildren, Austin Wilson, Chyenne Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Taylen Wilson, Kellen Wilson; sister, Dorothy Pillard of Lincoln; special friends of the family, Dennis and Nancy Schmitz of Hallam.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lynn Matthews and daughter, Regina Wilson.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Meet at Gate 2 for directions. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM with family greeting friends from 5-7 PM at Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
