Evelyn H. Slepicka, age 90 of Wilber, Nebraska was born on March 24, 1931 in Crete, Nebraska to Milos and Helen (Matejka) Kubicek and passed away on February 3, 2022 in Crete, Nebraska.

She attended school and later was united in marriage to Frederick Slepicka.  She made her home in the Wilber area and was employed at Peterson Manufacturing for many years and also worked at the Wilber Care Center as a cook.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Milos Kubicek and her mother Helen (Matejka) Zach, her brother and sister in law, Mike and Kathryn Kubicek,  sister, Irma Plachy, infant daughter,  Debra Ann Slepicka, step sister, Laverne Slepicka and her half-sister, Rosie Sykes.

She is survived by her children, Leland (Patti) Slepicka, Colleen Slepicka, Wanda and (Phil) Studnicka and Gaye Nichols.  Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Andrew Slepicka, Heather Bailey, Christina Slepicka, Hannah Vergith, Hunter Houdersheldt, great grandchild, Jordyn Bailey, step sister, Alice Mae Kumpost and step brother Allen Zach.

Evelyn was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilber, Red Hats Society.  She enjoyed volunteer work at the Wilber Czech Museum, Saline Elder Care and at the church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber, Nebraska on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM.  Memorials to the family for future designation.
