Everett F. Magnusson, 77, of Lincoln passed away September 18, 2017 at Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. He was born to Lloyd and Ila (Sudlow) Magnusson on March 22, 1940 in South Dakota.
Everett was 1 of 10 children in his family. Everett met June in Loveland, Colorado at a Buffalo Dance. After dating 7 to 8 months, Everett and June were married on November 22nd, 1970 in Loveland. Soon after, they gave birth to their first daughter, Tabitha Lee Magnusson, deceased. Three years later, they had their second daughter, Tamara JoAnn Magnusson. They moved to Crete, Nebraska in 1974.
Everett worked as an Alvi Operator at Alpo /Friskies. He worked there for 32 years. During retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his wife June, and grandkids Adrianna, Jaden, and Jordan. Everett and June moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in May of 2016. He experienced the birth of his great-grandson Josiah Bowder, and the wedding of his granddaughter, Adrianna Bowder.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, June Magnusson of Lincoln; daughter, Tamara
Magnusson of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Adrianna Bowder and husband Jacob of Lincoln,
Jaden Peterson of Mobile, AL, Jordan Peterson of San Diego, CA; great grandson, Josiah Bowder of Lincoln; sisters, Emma Lamb of Onida, SD, Naomi Douglas and husband Kelly of Rapid City, SO, Irma Falond of Hillsboro, IL, Sharon Lebeda and husband Norman of Loveland, CO, Marilyn McKibben of Rapid City, SO, Ruth Ballard of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Dale Magnusson of Big Sky, MT and numerous other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Ila Magnusson; infant daughter, Tabitha; brothers, Sam and George Magnusson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete with Rev. Dr. Wayne Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be on Friday starting at 9:30 AM up until time of service. Cremation will follow services with burial at a later date.
