Obituary

Floyd William Mundt, age 96 passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Wilber Care Center. He was born on January 19, 1923 in Crete, Nebraska to Louis and Elizabeth (Hessheimer) Mundt. He attended parochial school at St. John's Church in Kramer, NE. Floyd was married on June 10, 1943 to Alice Mager. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Crete. He had numerous jobs in his life. He was in the Army from September 1945 until March 1946. Floyd was a farmer, worked at the Crete Mills, Cink's IGA store for 7 years and was an agent for the American Family Insurance Company for 24 years. He earned many trips as a reward for selling insurance. After retiring, he worked at the Crete Foodmart Store. Floyd is survived by his children: Carol (Melvin) Znamenacek of Crete; Nancy (Jerry) Schlamann of Leeton, MO; William of Chilliwack, British Columbia; and Ronald (Deana Wagoner) of Kansas City, MO; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice and sisters Irene Svoboda and Gertrude. Services: Saturday, 10:30 AM, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Crete. No visitation at funeral home. Memorials to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
