Gale Lee Bohling, 65, of Crete, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 5, 2018. He was born March 2, 1952, in Humboldt, NE, to Carl Jr. and Bernice (Gobber) Bohling.
Gale met his wife, Patty Kay, while working at the truck stop in Tecumseh, NE. Gale and Pat would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on May 26th of this year. Into that union was born three children, Autumn, Cory, and Megan. Gale and Patty Kay spent their time together loving each other and going on crazy little adventures. Gale worked for Nestle Purina for 42 years as a forklift driver, in the warehouse.
Gale enjoyed spending time with his family and attending many of his children's activities over the years. When he earned the title "Grandpa" to his seven grandchildren, Theo and Brock Bohling, Ali Jacobs, Chaise Rohe, Maddie Luzum, Jase Luzum and Alivia Luzum, his greatest joy was cheering on the second generation of Bohlings. He was an avid football fan, supporting his beloved San Diego Chargers, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the Doane Tigers. On any fall Saturday, you could find him on the sidelines of a Doane football game, working on the chain crew, or attending a Husker football game. He had a passion for tractors, especially John Deere.
Gale is survived by his wife, Patty Kay (Puchalla); children, Autumn (Bohling) & Cory Jacobs and granddaughter, Ali, of Lincoln; Cory & Katie Bohling, grandsons Theo & Brock, of Cairo; Megan (Bohling) & Dusten Luzum and grandson, Chaise, of Crete; siblings, Gene (Shirley) Bohling, Greg (Bobbie) Bohling, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Gale was preceded in death by his father, Carl Jr., his mother, Bernice, brother, Gary, and sister, Gloria Michel.
