On June 17, 2021, Helen joined her beloved JR on their eternal farm in heaven.  She was born January 8 ^th , 1930 in Swanton, NE to Ed and Rose Jiskra. She attended school in Swanton until graduating in 1947. After high school, she took the state test for elementary education and passed. She began her teaching career in the fall and taught several rural schools - Dist. #33 near Swanton, Mt. Vernon near Endicott, Dist. #72 near Daykin, Dist. #17 near Jansen, Swanton Elementary and helped coach high school volleyball. She eventually would settle into her long-time teaching job at Wilber Public Schools teaching 6 ^th grade English and Math until retiring in 2007. She taught for a total of 58 years.

On January 20, 1949, Helen married Fredrick Oltrogge. To this union, they had one daughter,

Roberta was born in 1950. It was not easy for Helen and her family to go on vacations because they had a dairy farm that required them to be home to tend to milk their dairy cows. Helen is known for being a hard worker as a young child and continuing to do so alongside her husband.  She enjoyed helping on the farm in any way she could. There were many hours sitting on the swing with JR, discussing how to go about things. Everything that was ever decided, was decided between the two of them during those chats.

She was actively involved in a dance club and the teacher organization Alpha Delta Kappa. Many years ago, she even played piano. Other activities that she enjoyed in her free time were playing cards, reading, watching TV, especially Grand Ole Opry on Saturday nights, anything on RFD and Big Joe's Polka Show. She was known for always finding someone to visit with, no matter where she went, she was able to make a friend.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Roberta. Grandchildren- Daniel Schmidt and wife Carol; Marcus Lineweber and fiance Danya; Amanda Lineweber; Great- Grandchildren- Mason Schmidt; Dreyson Lineweber; and Riley Lineweber.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred; Parents, Ed and Rose, and two brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.  No visitation.  Memorials are in care of the family.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.
