Jacquelyn Mae Rue, 75, passed away peacefully January 16th surrounded by her daughters. Jacque was born October 15th, 1949, to Haney and Phyllis Milstead. She grew up in Peru, NE and later Nebraska City, where she graduated high school. After high school, she met Ronald Rue. The two were wed September 26th, 1970, and were married until Ron's death in 1991. They had two daughters together. When the girls were younger, she was a stay-at-home mom. She was active as a girl scout leader and Sunday school teacher. Later, she worked at Pamida, the Crete schools as a cafeteria worker, and at the Crete Manor as an activities director. Jacque enjoyed helping and being around people. After retirement she moved to Centennial Terrace where she enjoyed cooking for the many potluck gatherings they had and visiting with fellow neighbors and friends. Jacque is preceded in death by her parents, Haney and Phyllis Milstead and her husband, Ron Rue. She is survived by her daughters: Rhonda Rue (Lincoln), Jocelyn Rue (Lincoln) and her brothers: Haney Milstead (Lincoln), Gary Milstead (Shenandoah, IA), and Robert Milstead (Goose Creek, SC).
