James A. Patton, 70, of Crete left this earthly life surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2016. He was born on November 16, 1945 to Roy and Dorothy "Lu" Patton.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Randy Williams of Fairbury, NE; sons and daughter-in-law, Bradley Patton of Crete, Chadd and Lori Patton of Crete; mother, "Lu" Patton of Crete; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Tom Messman of Crete; brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Rita Patton of Crete; grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, his dog "Jake" and many friends.

Pallbearers are Brian Nelson, Bob Zoubek, Layne Korbel, Stan Rychecky, Kris Chlupacek and Kyle Shore. Honorary Pallbearers are Alvin Duba, Ed Tuttle, Wayne Lomax and Bob Leavitt.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the family. Condolences may be left online at kunclfh.com.
