Janet Elaine Albrecht Larsen, 83, of Crete, Nebraska, was escorted to Heaven by angels on Saturday June 13, 2020. Janet was born October 5, 1936 in McCook, Nebraska to Alfred and Thelma (Dewane) Albrecht. She grew up on the family farm 14 miles southwest of McCook located in Grant precinct. She attended Banksville School and later District 51 where she graduated from the 8 ^th grade. She then went on to attend the Ag School in Curtis, Nebraska. While there, her girlfriend set her up on a blind date and she met the love of her life, Richard Littell Larsen who was from Maywood, Nebraska. They were married on June 24, 1956. To that union three children were born; Kathryn Kay Larsen, Donna Mae Larsen and Cheryl Ann Larsen. They lived on the family farm southwest of McCook until 1966 and found their way to Lexington, Nebraska where they worked and raised their family. After retirement they returned to McCook to care for Janet's mother. Upon Richard's death in 1995 and Thelma's death in 2008, Janet moved to Crete, Nebraska to be near her daughters in 2010. Janet was an active member of the Berean Church in McCook, Nebraska and the Woman's Auxiliary of the VFW. She was involved in many activities while living in her apartment community in Crete. She was our "social butterfly". Janet is survived by her children, Kathryn Larsen Gosselin and husband Dennis; children Justin (Amy) Ingraham and Sean (Mary) Brittenham, Donna Larsen Richey and husband Thomas; children Thomas James, Nicholas and Matthew (LaDena) Richey and Cheryl Larsen Adams; children Lucas (Rachel) Adams, Amanda Patton and Jordan (Heidi) Adams and 20 Great Grandchildren. Janet was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Thelma Dewane Albrecht, her husband Richard Larsen and her Great Grandson D'Angelo J'Edwin Richey.
