Jarmila (Veprovsky) Dvorak, age 94 passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Wilber Care Center in Wilber, Nebraska. Jarmila was born on August 28, 1924 to the late John and Rose (Kasl) Veprovsky in Cicero, Illinois. She married Arnest Dvorak on May 3, 1945 in Marysville, KS. They lived on a farm near Wilber, Nebraska almost the entire life.

Jarmila graduated from Dorchester High School and taught school for several years after graduation. She enjoyed gardening and her flower garden but her true passion was being in the kitchen baking especially fresh bread, Houska and Kolaches. She enjoyed being a cook at the Wilber-Clatonia High School for 25 years where she baked bread, rolls or cinnamon rolls every day.

Jarmila is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 73 years Arnest Dvorak who just recently passed away on February 15, 2018. She is also preceded in death by her sister Rosie (Veprovsky) Duchek, brother-in-law Orin Duchek and her sister-in-law Shirley Veprovsky.

Jarmila is survived by her brother, Emil Veprovsky and her two sons Ronald (Marcia) Dvorak of Overland Park, KS and Gerald (Becky) Dvorak of Middleton, WI. Jarmila has three surviving grandchildren, Michelle (Dvorak) Mason and family, husband Mike and children Zack and Maddy Mason of Olathe, KS; Brandon Dvorak and family, wife Allyson and children Claire and Emmalynn of Minneapolis, MN; Abigail (Dvorak) Espegard and family, husband Ryan and children Rudy and Lucy of Seattle, WA.

A special thank you goes the entire staff of the Wilber Care Center for their care and support. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilber Care Center, 611 N Main Street, Wilber, NE 68465.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, NE. A memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the Kuncl Funeral Home. A reception will be held at Friends and Family/VFW Hall in Crete, NE following the service.  Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete is in charge of arrangements.
