Jeanie Louise Oliver, 64, of Crete passed away on February 24, 2017. She was born on November 28, 1952 in Lincoln, NE to Henry and Louise (Schnell) Gilmore. She graduated from Southeast Community College with an Associate's Degree in Dietary Management. Jeanie married Victor Oliver on August 16, 1969 at Grace United Methodist Church in Crete, NE. She was employed as a waitress and cook for several locations then as the Dietary Manager at the Crete Hospital before owning and operating Rising Star Video from 1991 to 2006. Jeanie loved movies, music, camping, fishing, cooking and was known for her wild sense of humor.

She was a past member of the Crete Area Chamber of Commerce, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club # 3909 and is the Past President of the ladies auxiliary. Jeanie also helped with the Blue River Festivals.

Survivors include her husband, Victor Oliver of Crete, NE; siblings and spouses, Mary Elizabeth (Joe) Salcedo of Omaha, NE, Gene (Linda) Gilmore of Papillion, NE, William (Lynn) Gilmore of Omaha, NE, Sondra Barry of Lincoln, NE, Donna (Joe) Caldwell of Bixby, OK, Susie Morris (Ben Haufle) of Dorchester, NE; brother-in-law, Melvin (Lollie) Oliver; sister-in-law, Tela May Assin; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Henry "Jack" Gilmore; brother-in-law, Francis "Tee" Barry.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jesse Morris, Jesse Blacketer, Jesse Dawes, Ryan Ferretti, Logan Morris, Dan Barry, Brian Barry, Heather McNear, Joel Caldwell, and Kimberly Caldwell-Scott.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on March 2, 2017 at Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Cremation, no visitation. Memorial care of the family for future designation. Condolences may be left online at kunclfh.com.
