John M. Honvlez, 54, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018. He was born to Clarence and Shirley Honvlez on December 13, 1963. He graduated from Crete High School in 1982. John was preceded in death by father, Clarence Honvlez, and brother, Craig Honvlez, of Denton. He is survived by mother, Shirley Honvlez, sister, Rhonda Honvlez, and niece, Shannon Roberts, all of Denton. For nearly 30 years, he worked a successful career in mechanical maintenance before pursuing his passion of raising cattle and farming. John enjoyed participating in tractor pulls with his John Deere D. He took pride in restoring his International Harvester Farmall 1206 Diesel tractor and entering it into parades and tractor shows. His smile and laugh will be missed by those who loved him most. Private family services were held at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Interment took place in Sunnyside Cemetery in Denton. Memorials are in care of the family. Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete was in charge of arrangements.
