Joshua David McHugh, 36, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at his home in DeWitt, Nebraska. Born March 24, 1981, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Ronald and Annalee (Cole) McHugh. Joshua was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He worked construction most of his life but was happiest when he was on the lake.

He is survived by his parents, Ron McHugh of Grand Island and Annalee & Thomas Morgan of Dewitt, brothers, Jake McHugh (Tracy) of Lincoln, Jaden McHugh of Grand Island, sisters, Amy Conklin (Chad) of Grand Island and Miranda Ashcroft (Todd) of Vienna, W.V., nieces and nephews, Tucker & Landyn McHugh, Jay Richardson, Allie, Cole & Ramzi Conklin, and Alivia, Rex & Saige Ashcroft. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amil & Sarah McHugh and Jack & Bernice Cole.

A visitation with family present will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5 - 7 pm at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, Nebraska. A Celebration of Life honoring Joshua's life will be held at his home on Little Lake, 2072 County Road X, DeWitt, NE on Friday, October 13, 2017 beginning at 5 pm. Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete is handling arrangements.
