Joshua "Josh" David Ostrander (1986-2016) Age 30 of Dorchester, NE passed away in a single-automobile accident on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Wilber, NE. Josh was born on November 17, 1986 to James "Jim" Edward Ostrander and Judith Ann (Marchant) Trelease in Chadron, NE. Josh loved his family and treated his three dogs as his babies. He found joy in the mountains of Wyoming, whether it was hiking or shed-hunting with his dogs, or snowboarding with his friends. Although Josh was selective about his friends, he was very devoted to those he loved. He marched to the beat of his own drum, and didn't look to others for approval.
Josh is survived by his parents: Jim and Juanita Ostrander of Garland, NE, Judy Trelease of Thayne, WY; one sister, Aaron Ostrander of Lincoln, NE; two step-siblings: Sydney DeBoer of Garland, NE, Chase DeBoer of Garland, NE; one nephew: Cole Sharping of Lincoln, NE; two maternal uncles: Steve (Charla) Marchant of Chadron, NE, Roger Marchant of Bradenton, FL; paternal uncle: Claude Ostrander of Gordon, NE; paternal aunt: Loresta Matthews of Brigham City, UT; one dog: Buddy; and numerous cousins and friends.
Josh was preceded in death by his step-father: William "Bill" Trelease of Thayne, WY; maternal grandparents: Bob and Nadine Marchant of Chadron, NE; paternal grandmother: LuAnn Ostrander of Gordon, NE; two dogs: Sugar and Junior.
A private memorial service for the family members of Josh will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 10 o'clock in the morning at Seward United Methodist Church in Seward, NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the Seward United Methodist Church in Seward, NE or Golden Retriever Rescue in Nebraska.
