LeAnna M. Kennedy, was born on May 28, 1927 at Beemer, Nebraska to Nicolaus and Leona (Doescher) Wiese and passed away on April 12, 2017 in Crete, Nebraska at the age of 89 years.

She became a child of God thru Holy Baptism on June 26, 1927 and was confirmed on May 5, 1940 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce, Nebraska. She attended Pierce High school graduating on May 17, 1944. On June 16, 1948 LeAnna was united in marriage to Orval Kennedy at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska.

She was employed before her marriage at Cones State Bank, Pierce, Nebraska for four years and then was employed for 35 years at DeLay First National Bank & then Firstier Bank, retiring in May of 1989.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was actively involved in charitable work.

LeAnna is survived by her son and daughter in law: Bruce and Carol Kennedy of Crete, grandchildren and spouses: Jennifer and Jeff Meinke, Jon and Shannon Kennedy and Jason and Amanda Dean. Great grandchildren: Isaac, Aaron and Jacob Meinke, Haley, Mikayla and Owen Kennedy, Gillian and Ella Dean. Nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Nicolaus and Leona Wiese, husband: Orval, an infant son, sister and brother in law: Arlene and Dean Ott, brother and sister in law: Delwin and Pat Wiese, sister in law and spouse: Ardyce and Alvin Reeg, brother in law and spouse: Merlin and Mary Kennedy, nephews: Wesley Ott, Rodney Reeg and Jerry Reeg.

Funeral Services: Monday, 10:30 am, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Crete. Viewing 1 hour prior to services at the church. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery in Norfolk, Nebraska at 3:00 pm. Memorials have been designated to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
