Leona (Kramer) Stastny age 85 years, was born on February 27, 1936 to Noyle and Martha (Walczyk) Kramer in Sterling, Nebraska and passed away on September 27, 2021 in Crete, Nebraska. The family moved to Crete in 1944 where she attended St. James School and graduated from Crete High School with the Class of 1955.  She was united in marriage to Sam R. Stastny in February of 1957.  They lived in Seattle, Washington where she worked for Boeing Air- Craft Company.  They later moved back to Crete, where she was a stay at home mom.  They had four children, Mark, Brad, Sharon and Sammy CL.  Sam and Leona had a bar, "Sam's Place" from 1982 to 1996.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, baby brother Joseph, sisters Donna Mae and husband Al Kahler and Gladys and husband Bill Ehlers, and brother in law, Ron Yant.  Leona is survived by Mark and wife Kathy, Brad and wife Lynda all of Crete, Sharon and husband Dan of Washington State and Sammy of Dorchester, grandchild; Andrew and wife Tracy,   great grandchildren; Mia and Zac, brothers; Noyle and wife Marge Kramer, Roger and wife Susan Kramer and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her special family, Jim and Diane Stevens and children, Luke and April of Omaha.  Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Crete, Nebraska.  A visitation will be held at the church prior to Mass beginning at  9:00 AM.  Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.    Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, NE are in charge of services.
