Obituary

Lorine Henrietta Elizabeth Fangmeier passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Monday, November 7, 2016, in her room at Premier Estates in Crete, Nebraska.

Lorine was born on May 9, 1925 to William and Anna (Krug) Fangmeier in Lancaster County near Crete, Nebraska. She was the youngest of six children. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church by Rev. Albert Colcher. She went to school district 16 and at St. John Parochial school near Kramer. She was confirmed on April 10, 1938 by Rev. William Pebler. She is a life time member of St. John Lutheran Church. Lorine moved to a farm south of Friend with her family, and helped on the farm. Later in life she moved to Crete were she resided until her passing.

She loved gardening, baking, and taking care of baby chickens. Lorine, along with her sisters, enjoyed working on quilts.

Lorine was preceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward, Henry, and Harry; sisters, Helena and Edna; sister-in-law, Frances (wife of Henry) Fangmeier; nephew Keith Fangmeier.

Survivors include nephew, Dale and wife Terrie Fangmeier of Lincoln; grandniece, Anna Fangmeier and grandnephew, Jonathan Fangmeier of Lincoln.

The family of Lorine Fangmeier would like to thank the staff at Premier Estates of Crete and Tabitha Hospice for all of their assistance.

Funeral Services are Friday, November 11, 2016 at St. John Lutheran, Kramer with Rev. Jim Haynes officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, 6-8 PM at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Burial at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, Kramer. Condolences may be left at kunclfh.com.
