Louise Mathilda Weilage, a resident of Tabatha Care Center, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was 95 years young, and was born November 24, 1921. She married LaVern Weilage on May 29, 1941 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She spent her life first as a homemaker/farm wife where they farmed north of Hallam for 35 years. Then working at Formfit, Crete Manor, cook at Pioneer Village Restaurant. Then after moving to Crete in 1988 she baked pies for Crete Sale Barn and Crete Senior Center. She moved to The Gardens in 2011 and then to Tabatha Care Center.
She is survived by sons Everett Weilage (Nancy) of Crete and Ralph Weilage (Judy) of Roca; daughter Linda Weilage of Lincoln. Louise had 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by husband LaVern with whom she shared 50 years of marriage; four sisters and one brother.
Celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Hallam Methodist Church in Hallam, Nebraska, with burial at Hallam Zion Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 6, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to family for a charitable donation to be made in Louise's memory to Hallam Methodist Church or Tabatha Care Center.
