Lyle Schwisow passed away on April 17, 2026. He was born on March 10,1939, in Powell, Nebraska.

On November 8, 1959, Lyle was united in marriage to the love of his life, Karlene Zajicek. Together, they shared 66 wonderful years, building a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. Lyle dedicated 40 years of hard work and commitment to Nestle’s (Alpo/Friskies), taking pride in providing for his family.

Lyle was devoted husband and a proud father to seven children: Robin (Bob) Butler, Jay Lynn Clark (Gerry Dill), Rocky (Amy), Sara Podoll, Bryan, Rudy (Deb), and Shelly (Brian) Broz. He leaves behind a lasting legacy in his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Lyle is survived by his beloved wife, Karlene; his children; and his brothers, Arthur and Roger, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Alice; sister, Alberta, brother, James; brother-in-law Marlyn Cullison; son-in-law, Russell Podoll; and grandson, Shawn Petracek.

Lyle will be remembered for his love of family, his steady presence, and the simple joys he cherished – especially his fondness for a good chicken meal.

Funeral services will be held at Kuncl’s Funeral Home in Wilber at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. In honor of Lyle, casual attire is kindly requested. Memorials are in care of the family for future designation.
