Maria Miller was born in Cyprus on December 29th, 1938, to George and Evathia. She then moved to London England when she was 9 years old. She worked at BBC studios as an actress, with her 1st audition at age 11.  She was a member of the actors association.  She later worked with the old Greats:  Elizabeth Taylor, Eva Gabor, Judy Garland, Roger Moore, Robert Mitchum, Yul Brynner. She was Most Proud receiving a small part in Sophia Loren's Movie the Millionairess. While trying to support her acting career, she worked at Selfridges in London. She married Arthur Miller in 1965 and had one child, Mary Miller- Kumpost. Maria moved to the US in 1970, where she obtained her GED, and went to beauty school in the US and UK.  She won 3rd place in the US for best men's haircut, then owned a beauty shop on Nicollet mall in Minneapolis for many years. Her life was lived to the fullest.  She taught yoga, belly dancing, and many years was a silver sneaker instructor.  A humanitarian, she was always giving to others. She spent much of her time volunteering at lil' Brothers of the poor in Minneapolis, assisting in Minneapolis marathons, and teaching knitting classes at her local community center. She was a life-long member of the Greek orthodox church and Solid in her faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Colter Braxton Kumpost. Survived by her daughter, 3 grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.  Services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
