Marjory Rose Cizek passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022.

She was born December 4, 1933, in Wilber, NE to Stanley Chab and Arline Tichy.  She attended School District 66 (the same school that her parents had attended). In 1952 she graduated from Wilber High School as class valedictorian. She attended Doane college then transferred to the University of Nebraska and graduated in 1956 with a BA in business education. She married Norman Cizek on June 12, 1955, in Wilber, NE and they just celebrated their 67th anniversary. They had a daughter Candyce Leigh born on March 27, 1958, and a son Craig Edstan born on July 23, 1959. In 1961, they moved to Arvada Colorado. In Colorado she did substitute teaching, worked for the City of Arvada and then for HUD, U.S. Government. In 1988, they moved to Boulder, Colorado. She retired in 1990 and in retirement Marge and Norm traveled the world. Marge's hobbies included flower gardening, writing stories of family history, playing bridge, reading, hiking, attending Denver bronco football games and her granddaughter's concerts.

Marjory is survived by her husband, Norman Cizek; her daughter Candyce Peterson husband Andrew and their daughter's Courtney Peterson (Benjamin White-Patarino) and Kelsey Peterson; and Marjory's son Craig Cizek wife Deborah and their children Alisha Allison husband Kenneth and son Bremner; Megan Amacker and son Mikey and Cody Amacker. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Adkinson husband Boyd. Marjory was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Chab and great granddaughter Mackenzie.

She would like to be remembered as a caring, loving grandma who placed family first, made people happy and has been a partner to her husband of 67 years and a friend of his for 73 years.

Celebration of Life took place on June 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Horan & McConaty 7577 W. 80th Ave. in Arvada.  Graveside services will be held at Wilber Czech Cemetery in Wilber, NE on June 25, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
