Marvin Synovec, age 85, left on his final flight from earth on March 5, 2017. He
was born on a farm south of Wilber on December 29th, 1931, to Frank and Tillie
(Jelinek) Synovec. Marvin attended country school Dist. 5 and graduated from Wilber High School in 1949. In 1951 he enlisted in the Air-Force as a mechanic with the 6th Bomb Wing. His tour of duty ended in 1955 as rank of Staff Sargent.
On June 12, 1955 Marve was united in marriage to Shirley Oman at Brady,
Nebraska. Upon returning home, he spent the remaining years farming, until his
retirement in 1998.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley and his son, Larry. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Norma Waltermire, and twin sister,
Mavis Behne.
Cremation, no visitation. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the Crete Berean Church. Memorials are to the church or Wilber Fire and Rescue Department.
