Mary Faye Taylor, age 76, of Swanton, Nebraska was born on May 2, 1945 in Tell City, Indiana to James Warner and Lillie May (Beard) Kellems and passed away on March 5, 2022 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She grew up in the Tell City area and attended school until the 8th grade.  She was 1 of 13 children and after her mother's passing, she helped with family chores and tending to her siblings.  She was united in marriage to Clifford C. Taylor on September 11, 1973.  They made their home in Kansas until moving to a farm near Swanton, raising her 4 children.  The couple later moved into Swanton where she lived until her death.  Mary did home health care work.  She helped take care of Sylvia Zeleny until Mrs. Zeleny's death.  She then worked at the Wilber Care Center (Nursing Home) for over 13 years.  After partly retiring, she returned to the Wilber Care Center on the Assisted Living section up until Covid, after which she fully retired.  Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, husband, Clifford C. Taylor on October 8, 2007, son Michael Taylor and grandson Bryatt Taylor, both on June 29, 2021.  She is survived by her son: Clifford W. Taylor (Cheri Hiner), daughters:  Loretta (Duane) Nickel and Crystal (Dale) Karpisek, daughter in law:  Tracy Taylor, grandchildren:  Bryce Taylor, Chaeli Taylor, Lucas Karpisek and Zachary Karpisek, step grandchildren:  Michael Nickel, Krystal Nickel Dewald and Alayna Nowak, many other family, friends and grand doggies. Services are on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wilber Methodist Church.  Casual attire is requested.  Viewing will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the church.  Burial in Swanton Cemetery. Memorials are in care of the family for future designation.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.
