Michael Stephen Pospisil, age 69 was born in Crete, Nebraska to Stephen and Marie (Wittenbach) Pospisil on September 5, 1952 and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 19, 2022. Mike grew up in Wilber and attended school in Wilber and graduated with the Class of 1970 from Wilber-Clatonia High School.  After graduation he worked for Bob Zach at his auto body shop and then worked at ALPO.  He was united in marriage to Pamela M. Ramsey on May 12, 1972 in York, Nebraska and the couple made their home in Wilber.  On June 1, 1973 he was hired by the City of Wilber. After serving many years as the Utilities Superintendent, he retired on March 31, 2021. Mike enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was camping, hunting, fishing or relaxing out on his patio with his family and friends. He instilled many of these values in his sons, which in turn, were passed down to his grandchildren.  One of his greatest joys was fishing with them.  When his sons were younger he coached and attended their sporting events and was proud that his sons have dedicated their time coaching their children while he and Pam could enjoy attending their many sporting events. Mike was a member of the Wilber Fire Department since January of 1973 and had served many years as the first Assistant Fire Chief.  He also was an EMT for the Wilber Rescue and a member of the Wilber Gun Club. Preceded in death by his parents, father in law, Glen Ramsey, Sr., brother in law, Mike Hroch, sister in law Glenda Barnes and brother in law, Glen Ramsey, Jr. Mike is survived by his wife, Pam, sons, Aaron (Jamie) of Cortland, Brian (Jennifer) of Wilber and Michael Jr. (Sadye) of Wilber, grandchildren, Brayden, Ashton, Gavin, Bria, Maddux, Journey and Oakley, sister, Stephanie Hroch, mother in law, Joanne Ramsey, brother in law, Shelby Ramsey and sisters in law, Beth Miller and Sherri Anderson, nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, DeWitt, Nebraska.  Visitation will be on Thursday, 5 PM to 7 PM at Kuncl Funeral Home, Wilber, Nebraska.  Interment at Wilber Czech Cemetery. Family requests casual attire for persons attending the service.  Memorials in lieu of flowers to the family for future designation.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.
